A historical brewery in Strasbourg

Le Tigre is a mythical brewery in Strasbourg.

It reopens its doors in association with Kronenbourg and its historical brand Tigre Bock.
For a long time in the heart of Strasbourg, the Tiger was a unique place dedicated to the brewing of beer and people.

In December 2018, this mythical establishment reopens its doors and reinvents itself. It was within its walls that the first beer brand in Europe, "la Tigre", was born in 1921. At that time, the Hatt family, founders of Kronenbourg SAS, owned the "Grand Tigre" brewery and named their new beer after their establishment.

At that time, Le Tigre became one of the most modern establishments in the region and also the largest brewery in the East. Almost a hundred years later, this jewel of the Roaring Twenties is reborn, true to its original spirit, friendly, authentic and up to date.

We find an atmosphere mixing industrial decoration and original Art Deco style (the big dome), Le Tigre gathers several spaces, several atmospheres, allowing to enjoy from the beginning of the morning to the end of the evening through the aperitif hour.

The mixing of populations, inseparable from the original spirit of the brewery, is done according to new modes of conviviality in a varied declension of spaces and atmospheres:
the bar and its counter "Le Petit Tigre", the restaurant under the large Art Deco period dome "Le Grand Tigre", the terraces "Bockage" and "Speakeasy" as well as the vaulted cellar in exposed stone that can be entirely privatized. 

The art of brewing beer - beer was already being brewed on the premises in the early days of Le Tigre at the end of the 18th century - is back at the heart of the place. The original "FabriK Tigre Bock" offers, according to the seasons and the inspiration of the Master Brewers, four Kronenbourg Tigre Bock brews made on site.

On the plate, Alsace is also honored: customers can enjoy a real flambéed pie, whose dough is kneaded on the spot with homemade leaven, organic flour and cooked over a wood fire. All the products delivered to Le Tigre come from a short circuit selected, if possible, from Alsace.
