An Iconic Building
Built between 1914 and 1927, with construction halted due to World War I, this iconic Strasbourg landmark is distinguished by its pink sandstone façade, a hallmark of the Neoclassical style.
Inaugurated in June 1927 by Maurice Bokanowski, French Minister of Commerce and Industry, this historic monument reflects the expertise of five architects: Robert Voelckel, Charles Gustave Wolff, Heinrich Backes, Otto Zache, and Paul Dopff.
